David Crosby strikes and injures a jogger in California
David Crosby, who rose to fame as part of the group Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, was involved in an accident in California. While driving his car, he ran into a man who had gone out for a jog. The incident happened in Santa Ynez, California, and Crosby was close to his home at the time.
According to the California Highway Patrol, speed was not a factor in the crash. Though the speed limit was 55, the musician was only going about 50 miles per hour.
Still, the jogger was seriously injured at those speeds, suffering from multiple fractures. An emergency team transported him to Santa Barbara hospital by helicopter, where he got treatment for those injuries. Reports do indicate that doctors don’t think that his life is in danger, so he should recover in time.
The California Highway Patrol also said that the musician was in no way impaired from drugs or alcohol, and that he totally cooperated with the police during the entire process. He simply said that he did not see the man because the sun was in his eyes, leading to the collision.
The accident took place in the evening on Sunday, March 22. No injuries to Crosby were reported, and the police did not release details about any charges that would be filed.
