2 injured in California car accident

Being injured in a vehicle accident can be devastating not only physically but also emotionally, sparking distress in those suffering injuries. It can also pose financial hardships if an injured party is unable to work for a time following the car accident. Unfortunately, two people recently were hurt in a vehicle crash in California.

This violent crash took place on a Thursday night. It happened on a road that was winding, according to police. Authorities said that a pickup truck was going north on a road, and a car was going south.

The two vehicles ended up colliding with each other. As a result, the truck landed on the car's top, thus causing a woman and man to be trapped. Rescuers spent 45 minutes trying to free the two individuals. Both of them suffered injuries deemed to be serious and were transported to the hospital. Meanwhile, the pickup driver suffered no injuries.

If the person driving the pickup truck is found to have caused the wreck, then he or she might be held liable for the car accident victims' injuries. The injured parties have the right to file personal injury claims against the truck driver, seeking damages that can help them to cover their hospital bills and other losses sustained in the crash, such as lost income from time missed at work. In order to succeed in a civil courtroom, it's necessary to prove by a preponderance of the evidence that the victims' injuries were the result of another party's negligence in California.
