Excessive speed on the road may lead to injuries, deaths

Three individuals were injured and two were killed following a collision in California recently. This unfortunate car accident was the result of excessive speed, according to police. The accident took place on a Friday night.

It occurred beneath the 5 Freeway at 8 p.m., according to authorities. It appears that cars were racing along San Fernando Road at the time of the crash. According to witnesses, one black car was heading south and was perhaps racing a silver car.

That’s when the black vehicle lost control; it then crashed head-on into a minivan, police reported. Two individuals in the black vehicle were killed, with one of them being ejected from the car. A third person in the two-seater car suffered injuries and was transported to the hospital after emergency responders extricated him. This person’s condition was considered critical, officials said.

Two individuals in the minivan were treated for injuries deemed to be moderate. One neighbor in the area said that motorists often drive quickly down the road. Police said streets such as these are dangerous to race on because oil, grease and the presence of other drivers on the road are all elements that can result in tragic accidents.

If the person who was allegedly driving the black vehicle at an excessive speed survived the crash, he or she may be held liable for the other victims’ injuries and deaths. Otherwise, if this driver happened to die in the collision, his or her estate may be sued in civil court. In addition, any other person who owned the black vehicle may be sued. Financial restitution from a liability suit that is fought prosperously may help the injured victims or a deceased victim’s family to pay for monetary losses sustained in the California wreck.
